Vulcan® Gate

The Vulcan® Gate is a longitudinal redirective barrier designed to facilitate access through runs of permanent and temporary longitudinal barrier. The system consists of two steel transitions, two hinges, and at least one section of Vulcan® Barrier equipped with wheels and jacks. It is tested to NCHRP Report 350 Test Level 2 and Test Level 3.

  • Used to create an opening in a median or roadside longitudinal barrier.
  • Connected and disconnected with one steel pin.
  • Can be opened from either end, the middle, or removed.
  • Equipped with wheels and jacks to help facilitate easier transport.

Assembly & Maintenance

  • Sections and hinges are detachable.
  • Operation of gate can be done by hand.
  • Can be installed in 13.5′ (4 m) increments to Maximum Length needed
